AVP Experience Strategy & Transformation
Humana. Boston, MA
I am currently leading a team of strategists, UX designers, and content strategists inside the Retail business unit. Our mission is to streamline access to care for every person over 65. For those who are new to the Medicare system, navigating a new insurance ecosystem usually comes at a time when people are dealing with the complexities of aging. As an experience design team our job is to simplify the language, make it easy to understand how the system works, help members to choose the best plan, and seamlessly transition to a new insurance network while avoiding gaps in care. Our team does this by using universal design and focusing on the most complex population - those with multiple chronic conditions, who have english as their second language, and are considered “Duals” meaning they are eligible for Medicare and Medicaid. Their day to day is already hard and the healthcare system is forcing these members to navigate two networks. By solving here first we can test and learn quickly and ultimately scale to many.
